Due to their genetic makeup, purified pokemon are ultra-strong and have high defenses, and thus have their own system of damage and leveling. ------------------
First, their Battle Mechanics:
The purified pokemon's move: each five move points causes three percent damage. For example, if a purified pokemon used Tackle (35 move power, it would do 21% damage rather than the 14% that most pokemon would do.
All their moves are dragon types. If they use tackle, it's a dragon-type tackle. If a water gun, it's a dragon-type water gun. The attack looks the same (ie: squirting water out of its mouth for a water gun), but when using multipliers and whatnot for the percent damage, treat the purified pokemon's attacks as dragon-types. Also, the purified pokemon are pure dragon types. (oh yes, that gives them a 1.5 times multiplier since the attack matches their type). For the purified pokemon's offense, the super effective/not very effective, etc system is the same as normal- just keep in mind that their attacks are dragon-types.
As far as their defense goes, though: Ice-type attacks against the purified pokemon have a three times multiplier rather than a two times multiplier. Dragon-type attacks against a purified pokemon have a two times multiplier. Any other attack against a purified pokemon has a .5 times multiplier (does half the damage).
Level differences and stat increases/decreases work the same way as for other pokemon.
And yeah, these pokemon are supposed to be uber-strong and hard to defeat, except for their ridiculous weakness to ice types. Remember that, despite their high defenses, they are cold-blooded.
----------------
Purified Leveling Mechanics:
Because they are so difficult to defeat, it's only fair that they would be harder to level. And a pokemon will get more experience for defeating them.
Same idea as the normal experience/leveling system, except with different numbers.
Purified pokemon have more trouble gaining experience points: if a level 5 purified pokemon defeated another level 5 (normal) pokemon, the purified pokemon would earn 2.5 experience points. Half the opponent's level. Their goal is the same as normal pokemon- a level 5 pokemon would need 18 experience to level, etc.
When a normal pokemon defeats a purified pokemon, it receives experience points equal to three times the purified pokemon's level. In the level 5 battle, the regular pokemon, if victorious, would earn 15 experience points.
If a purified pokemon defeats another purified pokemon, it will earn experience points equal to the other pokemon's level. In the level 5 battle against two purified pokemon, the winner would gain 5 experience points. Yippee.
